I cannot make myself want to work on this baby set. I need to finish it so i can start new projects!!!

Should I??

I am thinking about starting up an ETSY shop.  I think if I get some stuff made up and in stock i will be up to putting things on there. I have no idea.  I would have to charge a bit more than I charge my friends and family around here.  Just because they charge for the listings and they charge a certain percentage of the sell price.  So that has to be taken care of.  So we will see.

2012 Ambitions.

I am trying to write out my first ever crochet pattern it will be for a "Professor Layton" blanket.  I have just discovered a great tool that can turn any picture into a pattern. http://www.microrevolt.org/knitPro/  I am so excited.  I have lots of ideas now.  :)  I want to work on so much stuff!!!
I am going to post some pics this time to show what I am going to do with this Layton blanket.  It will be motivation to get my other "in progresses" done so I can start on this one.

Things in progress

I am working on a few things right now. I wanted to post about them today. First, I am working on some blankets for my best friend's sons. Their dad is in the marines and they will be moving at the end of the school year. I will miss them more than anything. So i am making them star blankets in camouflage, green, brown and khaki colors. Then I have a baby shower coming up. I am working.on my first ripple blanket for that little guy.
I am so excited that we had a sale on red heart yarns the other day at work. With my discount i paid $1.50 a skein for.it. o_O excitement! anyway. I am going to add pictures of my in progress works.

Ahh Crafts.....

So I think I want to start this blog....  I want to post my thoughts, ideas, cool stuff I find on the interwebs, etc.  Maybe some other geek like me will happen upon my randomness and be happy because of it.  I don't know.

Let's do a basic starter kind of blog post this time.....

Hi, I am Amanda, AND I love to craft.  So much that I have a part time job at a craft store where most of my paycheck goes back to them.  I mostly Crochet and sell baby blanket sets that come with beanies and booties.  I also tend to make stuff for presents such as scarves and hats and most recently Mittens.
 I am becoming very ambitious about my craft.  :)
I also knit.  I prefer the hook to the needles though.
I bought a knook.  (http://www.leisurearts.com/how-to-knook)  And this kind of satisfies both.
I also have tried my hand at cross stitch (when I was younger, but I have been considering picking it back up), painting (art class in college), sketching (not very well), scrapbooking (too time consuming and expensive), among many others.  I will basically try anything crafty once... twice if I am not sure I did it right the first time.
For those of you that might not have thought of this... I learn most of my stuff from YOUTUBE!  try it!  You can find anything on there.... I will get on here soon to add pictures of all my crafties and maybe upload some videos that I used on youtube.
